Snow, snow, snow, and more snow, isn’t it great, isn’t it wonderful? You all may think “Wow!, Pastor Pat has finally lost his mind completely.” And you may be partially correct in your thinking, but that is a discussion for another time. As our good friend Howard Robison has reminded me and I’m sure some of you from time to time, Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” With that in mind, we should rejoice in each day as it comes our way. We may not like the weather that day but none-the-less it is exactly what God has planned for that day. With every interaction we have that day, we need to be mindful that just like the weather, God has brought those people across our path that day in order for us to show them Jesus. And it just may be that the weather is what enabled us to have a meeting in the first place.
When we realize that God is in control of every aspect of every day, we can begin to relax and simply enjoy the day and whatever it brings our way. There are no chance encounters and coincidences, every meeting, every conversation, and every touch with people is orchestrated by our Heavenly Father. So no pressure, but take advantage of each moment of every day. Don’t fret about the weather or the other circumstances of your day, look for the opportunities that God wants to bring your way today and every day.
Prepare your hearts for Sunday as we gather together for worship and celebration as the “Body of Christ.”
Don’t forget that on Wednesday the 14th at 6:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room we will start a 7-week journey with Jesus as we look at the final week of His life.
See you all Sunday and keep warm,
